Kanye West Ruins Taylor Swift's VMA's Win
Taylor Swift was surprised when her name was called for the “Best Female Video” award during the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, beating Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, P!nk and the great Beyonce.
"Thank you so much! I always dreamed about what it would be like to maybe win one of these someday but i never actually thought that it would happen, uhh, i sing country music so thank you so much for giving me a chance to win a VMA award," Taylor said after accepting the trophy on stage.
Kanye West ran up on stage afterwards, grabbed the microphone and said, “Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you. I’m gonna let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”
After Kanye walked off the stage, Taylor Swift was shocked, teary-eyed and speechless.
The audience stared to boo Kanye and started to cheer for the 17-year-old country singer/songwriter.
